am i the only one who doesn't own a dip dyed geller ? i don't even like geller that much but his misshapen jeans are comfy :embar:
i cheered at the end ! but Crispin and Crispinian :(

I don't have one, but I have the hoodie version. Both have the typical geller elements - half raglan construction, geometric blocking, etc... Nice.

I think most people would agree on that take. Modernism is a bit murky though. In literature particularly Modernism didn't mean breaking from the past. Think of T.S. Eliot's "Tradition and the Individual Talent." Or think of "Ulysses." Or basically everything Ezra Pound ever did (he said "make it new," but he was basically reinventing what had come before). In painting, Picasso used the same ideas regarding perspective that you see in the prehistoric paintings on cave walls in Lascaux. Kinda sounds like Neoclassicism, which came well before Modernism. So what exactly is Modernism?

lol. listen man, first of all if you are serious about your question you need to understand that big sweeping words like modernism and postmodernism can't be applied across the board. modernist literature is in many ways different and in many ways resonant with modernist visual art. It isn't really one big coherent thing that can be labeled neatly and filed away. Look at and study individual works and that might be helpful. I dunno. Maybe just take Eng 101 or an art history class that covers late 19th and 20th century art? You may be further confused by the "Modern" period of philosophy which basically = big Euro philosophers from Descartes to Kant. Postmodern philosophy is another can of worms with no real clear definition; kinda just a convenient way to group together a bunch of mid to late 20th century Euro (mostly French) philosophers who annoy a lot of people because they're not easy to read or try to understand.

None of this really maters but for the record none of your responses make any sense; Tradition and the IndividualTalent is an essay about writing, it is not a work of Modernist fiction; while of course Joyce reframes the Odyssey as well as the Bible and perhaps the novel in general among other things, Ulysses is certainly a break from the past I have no idea how you'd argue otherwise. Same goes for Pound. Saying Picasso used the same ideas regarding perspective as those seen in cave paintings is simply not true, obfuscation at best. The Lascaux cave paintings were discovered in 1940, Braques and Picasso basically invented and worked out cubism between 1912-1930.

Is this an Alden? Or what brand and line? I can see myself wearing this, most certainly...

Just bought this J. Crew suit for $300 with their 25% of sale.

Random Fashion Thought 1: I'm worried getting the pants in slim with my waist size will make me look like "clown dressed by internet" but the regular ludlow pants needed a lot done in their "seat" for them to not appear incredibly bulky. I'm cautiously optimistic, as the Ludlow jacket works great for me, just need the pants to connect.

Random Fashion Thought 2: Dressed by the internet, I take offense. We read blogs and magazines everyday that proclaim to have style, and you just take what they say ever so slightly overboard and someone says "dressed by the internet". I sir, appreciate the daring if not the execution.
