Very nice. At first glance I thought you had gone for the ‘Wye,’ which is exclusive to Crockett & Jones Paris and look very impressive. Edit: If you have seen the Wye in the flesh, what is your impression? Apparently it will eventually be available for those living in the UK. Thanks.Crockett & Jones dark brown
The trifecta
Was just at C&J on Jermyn St and they’re sold out of the dark brown Coniston in my size (and two around it) across the company. Nice pickup!
Lastly, C&J service really is excellent. I’ve been in a good number of high end boutiques in life; most even when polite are often condescending (“Sir can afford the Submariner? An excellent watch, although the Daytona in Platinum is my preference...”). The gents staffing it were just incredibly pleasant and helpful. Worth a visit for those in London.

Please link to the thread. I am unable to find it. Thank you.The manager of the smaller Jermyn St, store is on here. I forget his username. He recently posted in the shoe care thread cleaning his C&J boots.
Wow. You get really passionate and excited about boots.I saw them and they're really all that I hate, some bad mix between chukkas and short Coniston, single sole on the ugly city sole, pointy last, hideous design... really not my cup of tea!
I really wish I could have the Todd Snyder olive green roughout Coniston to go with my trifecta

Yes, I found it just as you replied. I have seen ‘Crat’ before and suspected he was an employee of C&J.
I notice he is cleaning a pair of ‘zug’ Snowdon, yet the name ‘Crat’ doesn’t appear to be on the GMTO sheet. Perhaps he got his hands on a pair of the much talked about seconds? I read somewhere that many of the original pairs were discarded as not good enough.

Ah, I see. Thanks. His aren't seconds; we were apart of the 1st run last year. If you scroll through his feed far enough back, you'll see when he first received his.
Is he a C&J employee? I don't think I've seen mention of that before.Yes, I found it just as you replied. I have seen ‘Crat’ before and suspected he was an employee of C&J.
