Dainite is indeed the brand of soles offered by The Harboro Rubber Co. LtdNew Sydneys arrived today! Had the leather soles replaced with "city soles and heels", which are in fact dainite as shown in the heel photo.

I know it's a bit incongruous but since you are already just rocking them to the office go for the ultimate comfort and have them slap on some thick double leather soles. Your feet will thank youWhat are the recommendations on new soles for Dark Brown Scotch Grain Islays? I’m looking to switch it up from the Dainite soles.
I wear these with jeans to the office - basically smart casual type attire.
I really like the comfort and durability of the Vibram Cleated soles on my Ross boots, but I would like something a bit less aggressive for the Islays.
Any thoughts on the ridgeway sole (a la Galway)? They look good, but I don’t know how they wear.
This will be through an independent cobbler, so I don’t feel constrained on the sole selection.
Thanks! I should have mentioned that I wear them around town also and like not worrying about stepping through a few puddles. However, I also don't tromp through the countryside with my Islays like the "Made to be Worn" mantra.I know it's a bit incongruous but since you are already just rocking them to the office go for the ultimate comfort and have them slap on some thick double leather soles. Search this thread ( a few months back?) as someone did an Islay restoration with ridgeway soles. Personally that would be my pick when I decide to resole my Islay. Thanks!
