I obviously don't have too many Conistons. :p

Is that a burgundy grain one I see there or do you have two dark brown grain ones? The hatch grain pair has me tempted but sadly I will not be in an area where the weather will allow me to wear boots for some time so cannot get away with ordering them now. Not to mention the hassles of mad bonkers import duties I have to put up with at the moment.

The colour is called ”rust”. It’s more of a reddish brown IRL. It wasn’t exactly what I was going for but I like it!

Looks like you need a black shell Coniston on the 375 last :-D

Need is a relative concept :) That or any of the other lasts I mentioned would be OK. I’m kinda hoping for the flat welt, but we’ll see where it goes.

I'm indifferent to welt, but seemed like storm had a strong preference.

How does Chiltern wear size wise? I’m usually a 8.5 (e.g. in Cavendish, although a bit more extra toe room would’ve been perfect).

X-post with the shell thread. CJ makes some damn fine boots! "Busting" out for first wear of the season.

Very nice job. How are the Dr. Sole soles compared to Dainite?
Pretty good, actually. So far, I feel they’re less slippery, thus facilitating a better grip. This one is a custom model in brown for Baxter and Black.

New arrival from Bodiley's, Lanark 3. As always impeccable service, thank you Sarah.

In C&J they call it a derby, some Alden retailer names this model as "wholecut Blucher" which makes sense since is one piece of leather, anyway a fantastic shoe in a very comfortable last. The 378 is rounder than the 325 (Coniston and Pembroke), both suit my feet perfectly.

For comparison a couple pictures of the Lanark with Carmina Blucher in Detroit Last and Trickers Robert.

Last:378
Sole: Dainite
