I have mahogany for my handgrade chestnut and cognac for my benchgrade chestnut. They are two different colors when new, so I figured I'd keep it that way.

JS, those are pretty cool. I handled them in store and its a sharp looking shoe. Your pics capture them well

Fwiw
Fwiw I have mahogany cream with C&J chestnut. It looks like the closest color but always came out too orange for me. I've been alternating Hermes rouge and dark brown (with a bit of black on the toes) and have been quite pleased.

On that front, Saphir cognac cream has proved too orange for me with C&J's chestnut.

For the retail stores in London, are the two on Jermyn St likely to carry the largest inventories? Particularly in boots?

All three questions above could be posed to C&J themselves, no? At least you'd be more certain of an accurate answer and they have an online presence here too...

Either one will most likely have what you would like to try on, if you e-mail them beforehand (with models, size, day). The staff is very helpfull.
