My Samuelsohn tuxedo came in last week (somewhat MTM) and during my fitting we adjusted the jacket, the vest and adjusted the length on the pants. The pants are flat front, but they are a little baggy for my liking in the seat and upper leg. I am a thin guy and I like my pants to fit slightly slimmer than a standard cut and when I mentioned I would like pants cut a little slimmer, the sales rep was very hesitant to do it. The reasons he gave me were because I would want more room for movement. He also alludes to me needing more room in the future. I guess he thinks I am going to get fat. But I have been the same weight for the last 10 years and wear pants I have had for 5+ years and they still fit perfectly.
Is there any reason I would want more room in these tuxedo pants or is he just trying to avoid taking the pants to his tailor and having to recut and reattach the satin on the side? This is a very reputable location and I don't think they are cutting any corners, but if I am dropping a bag of money on this thing, I want it to look correct.
