Question about shoes - brown formal

Hi,
I was wondering what are some decent brown leather (smooth calf) shoes, such as the Meermin http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1967 shoes, but without the patterning/brouging.
I have some crappy quality brogue shoes which are wearing down, so would like a step up in quality.
The Meermin cheaper selection do have a nice brown leather pair - http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1931 but it is 'grained' and I prefer the smoother look. Preferably around $300US or £250, like the Meermin.
I am also looking for a nice pair of quality black formal shoes, better than my rubber type of ones. Same price as brown.

Also, I am in need/wanting some loafers/drivers shoes. I am young; 20, so I don't particularly want completely leather loafers/tassal, but I am in love with the Sloop Slipon look - http://store.asuitablewardrobe.net/thesloopslipon.aspx - but I don't think I could pull that off in my kind of crowd, as weird as that sounds.
For these, I was thinking around under $200/under $150. Obviously I don't have a very deep pocket!

A bit off topic..but I'm Australian, and summer seems to be creeping around the corner, or more the fact I am looking forward to it.
So I am looking for a nice pair of light, white linen pants, with a slight taper, a light blue would work as well.
Price: under $150.

Thanks in advance

I don't own any Meermin's yet. Here's a long thread devoted to the them: http://www.styleforum.net/t/277707/meermin-carmina-2nd-brand . You'll find a lot of answers by browsing through the thread.
Yeah, MTO is made to order. You can choose the model and then change the last, color etc. The LM ones are mostly New Rey which is pretty pointed; Vil even more so.

Ok thannks, yeh I've had a look through that thread, not quite the whole thing yet though!
Im going to order some black shoes as well - some formal ones, they don't have many other plain ones that I like, I think ill probably go with - http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?idioma=eng&id=1930 these.

and for the brown shoes either - http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1972
or - http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?idioma=eng&id=1893
With the first brown shoes linked, Ive heard that the Vil (the last) is quite narrow, and although I don't have a wide foot, I think it may be safer to get the 2nd option which has New Rey, which is narrower than Vil.
Still not sure though :\

New Rey (E-) is wider than Vil (D).

For the black shoe, I'd get this one: http://www.meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1925 It's more formal (oxford as opposed to blucher) and people who own it, like it.

Just make a drawing of your foot and mail it to Meermin. They'll help you with the sizing.
