Nice series, I will bookmark you. I like that you are opinionated without apologizing for it.

Debatable, but I don't mind. See above.

I disagree, still enjoyed the vid though. Fwiw, it's easier to raise a shine with wax than cream and iirc, a (hard) wax will help seal in moisture.

I was trying to strike the tone of stating a personal preference in the shoe shine segment, rather than a proscription. Tone can be tough when things are two minutes long, though.

Excellent interview. By the way, and I may have missed it, but do we have an ETA or topic announced for Episode 3?

PTO makes unbelievably good videos. I think the best out there, actually. If they put these out on a more regular basis, I think their viewership/ readership would go through the roof. They really have a good formula here with those videos; they just need to be updated more often.

I could not agree more with the first part. I am thinking the second part of your post is in the easier-said-than-done category. As I understand it, Jesse and Adam have day jobs and if these things were rushed they would not be as good.

Imminent.

The subject is Work, and our guest is Paul Feig.

Basically, Adam does all the editing himself, and it's just tough for him to fit it in. His business, creating web videos and industrials for big companies, is growing very fast, and generally the budget for one of those is about 10x what the budget for a PTO is (and PTO is usually about three times as much content), so he has to prioritize the work that's paying his rent. We are steadily continuing to do these, though, and expect one every 1-3 months until our first season is done. In the meantime, there's the blog.

The amount of work you guys put into those is very evident.

I don't have a clear view of how big the market is for men's fashion blogs and forums. ACL seems to be somewhat successful, but who knows how much Michael Williams is making off of the ACL brand. Kempt and Valet also seem like up and coming "men's fashion blogs," but again, who knows if those things are profitable. Either way, PTO, in my opinion, is much better than all of these. If there is a money to be had, PTO should be getting a good chunk of it. A more regular video series could make PTO one of the most talked about and visited blogs out there, far ahead of any others like ACL, Kempt, Valet, etc. My point is that if there is money to be made, a regular video series from you guys could make the work very worthwhile.

Some people on SF might say this is a bit too much praise. The videos, after all, in some way cover pretty basic things - things that most people on this forum already know about. However, as far as introductions go, I think the videos you guys make are about as good as it can possibly get. A more regular season might go into advanced material, but the two you have done are incredibly good as a foundation for advice and information.

In any case, keep up the great work.
