PSA: Barney's Private Sale

this is probably a dumb question, but is the barneys private sale really private, or can anyone walk in on 11/15 and get the discount?

By private, you just have to know about it and mention it when paying. They shouldn't give you any crap about not having the mailer.

I'm confused, how do you know what items the private sale applies to since its "selected items" and you have to ask at the cashier when you pay.

Heh, good point

In my experience, generally most stuff is eligible for the discount, except for the pieces from the the big names. Certainly do ask though, as I'm guessing it will vary by location.

bleh i hate asking for discounts cause invariably i'll find something i love, not find that its on discount, and then be sad.

when paying, I say "Does the private sale price apply to this?"

is this only for thursday or what?

Timberland Boot Co. is the overseas branch of the Timberland that we all know and love. As usual the overseas market gets much more interesting product. This is true for several american staple brands like Lee Jeans, Carhartt, etc.

The overseas branch is now offering a limited line of goods in the U.S. There was a blurb on the company and the boot in GQ or style.com.

By research, I meant that I read the fine print on the site.

Timberland Switzerland GmbH = Timberland Europe.

For private sales, just grab a sales associate and in a low voice mention the private sale. They'll show you the pieces that are eligble. That's what I do at RL private sales anyway.
