Good afternoon gentlemen...
I'm coming here out of a combination of frustration and irritation, seeking any knowledge that might be shareable...
The lady in my life is 5'0", 103 lbs. Shopping for women in the BMI range of 21 and under is seemingly impossible in the current era - I cannot for the life me of find a simple little low rise black mini skirt I like that is actually for a petite. Or a little black prom dress? Think VS model body type (the "old school," actually hot ones)...just not quite as tall.
The problems abound:
1. Manufacturers define "petite" as height-based (under 5'3"), then show women in their "petite" offerings who are clearly 135-155 lbs with D cups and the "hips" to match - they'd fall off a woman who is actually petite.
2. Everything is now "high rise," or at best "mid rise" - nope, low rise & sexy for my lady please.
3. To get the sizing right it appears I could go to juniors / girls - but then you don't exactly find sexy, you find "skorts."
The goal isn't expensive; I resort to primitive google searches and end up on Amazon, PrettyLittleThing (the name gave me hope, but no, see problem #1) ...it seems everyone is on this thick & curvy trend.
Dillard's "Juniors" section is the best I've found so far...
Where is a man wanting to buy his lady a few things to turn?
