Hi Gents,
I am going to. NYC wedding tomorrow that should be fairly festive. My charcoal suit seems a bit too somber so I am leaning towards a nice spring weight Prince of Wales suit. My challenge is the shirt and tie combo to match with this. I also figure on wearing either black or tan wingtips or #7 captoes. As you can probably tell I dont wear suits much.
I suppose it should be either a blue or white shirt, as there is enough action already in the suit? Just not sure what tie should go with either of these shirts, as it is an afternoon spring wedding. I want some festive color, I think, but not sure what options I really have given the Prince of Wales suit.
Any suggestions on shirt/tie combo most appreciated. I could still use the charcoal suit but it feels somber and is a bit heavier. I can stop by Bloomies on the way to the wedding if needed.
Thanks!
I also realize I need a at least one basic spring weight suit, say in grey, as my best navy blue and charcoal suits are really fall weight... Still building basics but getting better...
