I'm looking into getting the ‘ultimate’ (for me) penny loafer. I discovered the Howard by Cheaney which ticks all my boxes, then found another identical Howard by Shipton and Heneage. (I’m not interested in Aldens).
Anyone know who actually makes these and why one licenses them to the other (or are both companies under the same management?)
My other choice is the revered C and J Harvard 2 - I prefer the reddish chestnut colour of Cheaney / S and H but the C and J is a lovely looking shoe and I like the idea of a single rubber dainite-ish sole.
I know there are a few C and J wearers here - it does anyone care to offer any thoughts on the Cheaney?
Any good deals kicking around in the post festive season sale?
Ta for your thoughts!
