peacoats: H&M vs. fink (urban outfitters house brand?)

If anyone is thinking of spending over $100 for a peacoat, they should look no further than a Sterlingwear. The Sterlingwear Authentic beats anything south of $200 plus for quality, weight, cold protection, etc. In fact, it holds its own when compared to a Schott which is about twice as much. As a bonus, it is US made.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but how dark are the Schott Dark Navy Peacoats?

I be wanting a Charcoal/Black one asap, but if the Navy ones are dark enough, I'll get that. Also, I did a quick search for sizing, I reckon my chest be about 39" expanded, anyone think the 36 would be a safe bet for a slim fit, or should I just get the 38 since I be trying to bulk up a little bit atm.

Pics would be great.

actaully its a slim fit. I got a small(38) and I'm a 36 and mine fits good.

Hey everyone, thanks again so much for the tips. I get that long-term investments usually make the most, but I'd hate to buy a really nice coat now, only to have it not fit in a couple years (this is a probable scenario).

Anyhow, as I said, is there anything other than a peacoat that might be warm, slim, somewhat aesthetically minimalist, stylish, and CHEAP?
