NR - I appreciate your persistence in trying to point out to Jon how poorly he is perceived through the tone and content of his posts, but honestly I wouldn't waste so much time and effort arguing with a teenager on the internet...

And there it is, the good old age argument. When all else fails, the age argument comes out as if people younger than you couldn't possibly rationalize or come up with ideas that might contradict your staid way of thinking. Oh, and btw I'm not a teenager, but that's for assuming it.

Jon.

But obviously you do, since you decided to post your manifesto of hate towards me. Personally mind you not just regarding this thread; I mean really man: find something else to do other than to think of me.

**** you very much.
And that's what separates me from you, and I frankly will not stoop to your level. When you can talk like an adult, and without handing out ultimatums as if I have to prove something to you, then we'll talk. Until then, feel free to use the ignore feature to like an ostrich put your head in the sand and block everything you don't want to hear, out.

Blah blah blah.

I've said my piece. If you have some actual information to offer in answer to my questions about winders, feel free. I'll continue to weigh it on its merits as I have your other posts.

I think you're all gay, except for Z, who has a nice box.

Just wondering...
Sorry to revive an old thread,

I would like to know the consensus.
I know nothing about watch winders,
and was just researcing, and came across this thread.

Do these winders 'move all the time'?
Do they 'move then stop, then move again'?
OR are there both types sold, that the latter is preferred, if anything at all?

I am also wondering if there are 'start-stop' winders (affordable ones) in Toronto Canada?
I have a few automatics that, although I like them all,
I find myself too lazy to keep winding them when not in use.

Sorry if I missed something in the thread that may have answered these questions.
It seems like there was heated debate on it, but no conclusions?

Crazy thread. You would think that setting the timer on the winder would allow the watches to run down and therefore not stress the mainspring... keeping them at 50% would or so would be dandy. Not sure how a winder working this way would be any different than wearing the actual watch.

They start then stop. They are on intermittently throughout the day.
