FWIW, Allen-Edmonds has Chelsea boots coming out in their Fall 2006 collection. I know they are being offered in brown calfskin and brown suede and I am pretty sure black as well.
Unfortunately, they are being offered on the new 108 last, which is not compatible with my feet. Otherwise, I'd be very interested. Happily, though, I recently got their Troy boot in brown at a thief's price, so that pretty well fills that niche in my shoe wardrobe.
