Jest on, feline friend,
I've been pondering converting my one button odd jackets and suits to 3-roll-2 for several months.

im assuming you want to change it back to 1 button, but how is this possible? isnt once you put the buttonholes up you already made slits into the cloth, how is it turned back into a one button without looking damaged?

You're kidding right?
Does the name Eric Glennie mean anything to you???
^^^ I really think you might be overblowing the pocket placement versus button spacing issue. As far I understand, the buttoning point is the same regardless of the number of buttons and these jackets were made with it known that I might convert them.
One button strikes me as an odd pairing with tweedy coats.
Foo done did it, according to his blog, which surprises me not a whit. Once one was done, all would be done.
