I guess it depends how much you value having a Greenfield suit, versus Greenfield for [INSERT BRAND HERE]. I wonder if Greenfield would give sizing advice if you emailed them, actually, since like you say, you can't try on a Greenfield OTR suit anywhere.

Let's say you're intrigued by the whole high quality handmade in Brooklyn suit, but the Boo or Brooks, which are very specific styles, are not for you. This may be a way to get one that is more suitable. I guess it's the same as saying it's just another brand, but at least it's a high quality one.

Greenfield makes for a lot of people (including RTW), although it's hard to keep track and Gilt is up front about it. If you like the styling (and I do), it's not a bad price--and I never said it was. When something's on Gilt people assume it's there at a significant discount and that's not really the deal with the Gilt Greenfield suits. Do you have one?

Such lousy buys, no sense of perspective.

Creatures of Comfort is having a remainders sale in NYC this weekend. Great store.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday
March 23(3-8pm)
March 24-25(11am-7pm)

376 BROOME STREET NY NY 10013

Ah, I get it now.. No, I don't have one. You're right- it's not a super special price. but it's a pretty good price for the quality. But Gilt gives the impression that everything on its suit is super discounted, and in this case it's not. Maybe it's actually more appropriate for Park & Bond.

I sensed some trouble when I noticed how little new stock was rolling in. But Airportlobby is right on the money. Tobi occasionally had some cool stuff, but it was buried beneath piles and piles of tacky junk. Paging through a ton of junk loses its charm when you aren't rewarded with Yoox-like prices. I don't know how well their business model worked (obviously not well if it's come to this), but when it comes to stocking a boutique, sometimes less is more.

yes, they have a sale at the end of summer, so in about 5 months. it's just like the fall sale in terms of discounts, from what I remember.

was it that early? maybe it just ended in late July or August, so that's when the big discounts were and that's what I'm remembering. i guess someone could look it up in the sales alert thread. not it.
