I suppose so. I just saw an identical Needles parka somewhere else and the price difference was USD 139 before shipping. I don't know how big you guys are but maybe that plays into it too. Good luck with everything though..

And I've seen plenty of places not drop John Elliott + Co at all and yet they have dropped several items. Their pricing is fine and I'm sure they will do more rounds of drops as most retailers do.

yeah. But I would expect the prices to be competitive for things made in Canada, like arcteryx x veliance

We follow industry standard mark-up for all of our products and it's worth noting that all of our prices are listed in CDN.

As an aside - I don't want to get too defensive of my business here; in fact the reason we are on SF is to gain feedback from the community and if we're coming across as too expensive it's valuable information for us. Criticism is welcome.

Aaron,

I admire your calm demeanor but you dont have to say that you don't want to get "too defensive". You never seemed defensive to me in the first place.

Readers, I miscalculated in my previous comment. I was not aware that the prices were in CAD. So readers, please disregard it.

yeah but they're running a business, not a charity. you can't realistically expect all retailers to try and compete for your business because you saw something cheaper elsewhere.

and I'm trying to live, spending as little as possible :sarcasm:

can't stand that business not a charity bullshit. your business isn't a charity, you have to earn customers.

not that it even matters because some clown was complaining about high prices because he didn't realize they were CAD prices....
