Hello Gents,
Up for offer is a brand new H. Huntsman & Sons staple navy suit in a size 40L. The cloth used is a Loro Piana 498047 and the model is from Spring/Summer 2013. This retailed for the price of £1,950.00. As most of you should know, Huntsman at No. 11 Savile Row has one of the biggest followings and is known to be the most expensive on the Row. It was featured in the movie ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ and they have been making suits for over 167 years.
This model is a one button featuring Huntsman's iconic house cut, first purveyed by the distinguished Colin Hammick. (https://www.huntsmansavilerow.com/bespoke/your-choice-cut-and-cloth/house-style). We are looking at structured shoulders and high armholes. The line through the waist is cut long with a subtle hourglass shape and some flair in the skirt which reflects Huntsman's sporting heritage.
Reason for sale:
I snagged this for myself, however it didn't work out for me as my butt's too huge. I shall explain. There is a small tear on the rear near the middle seam and I am too fat for the pants to be taken in by 1 inch to 'take in' the tear. Currently, the waist is a W35 and hence it did not work out for me. Additionally, the previous owner had tried to put a piece of fabric on the inner side of the trousers to hide it, but it obviously didn't work out hence it was passed on. Both the jacket and pants are brand new and have not been worn. Something sharp had caught the rear of the pants. Therefore, this will work out for a tall person of 6ft or more, who is not fatter than W34. If you don't mind the tear, bring it to a tailor to mend it.
Approximate measurements:
Jacket:
Chest - 21 in
Shoulders - 18.5 in
Sleeves - 26 in (non-working; if you are in London, Huntsman will add the buttonholes or shorten it for free)
Length - 32 in
Pants:
Waist - 35 in
Length - 41.5 in
*No belt loops, single pleats
