^ In that case you might be able to pull some of the fluff back out if it's brushed over with only the tip sewn down (but that could potentially loosen the stitching)

Gentlemen, you may consider this alert for possible fraud involving shill bidding on ebay.uk for these nigel cabourn pieces:

- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nigel-Cabourn-Mens-DB-Stripe-Blazer-Peak-Lapel-48-Medium/142281599826, this piece was sold a few days ago see here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nigel-Cab...829303?hash=item211fb447b7:g:5IYAAOSwUKxYdl9J and the guy who won it also won the following pieces:

- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nigel-Cabourn-4-Pocket-Vest-Green-46-Medium/142281600591, sold as http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nigel-Cab...559668?hash=item211fa0e834:g:74wAAOSwA3dYkdH8

- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nigel-Cabourn-4-Pocket-Vest-Navy-48-Medium/142281600590, sold as http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nigel-Cab...561173?hash=item211fa0ee15:g:fCAAAOSwo4pYkdJf

The same guy "bought/won" the three pieces and now they're for sale again, and as far as I can see they are the exact same pieces and not several stock pieces. That same guy seems to have also participated on the following items (all nigel cabourn) hugely inflating their prices but as he didn't win them it's fair to conclude that the winners were roughly f*****...

- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nigel-Cab...803061?hash=item211fa49ef5:g:OokAAOSw9GhYkg35, the guy had a 169£ bid, the item was sold for 170£
- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nigel-Cab...563016?hash=item211fa0f548:g:Oe0AAOSwnHZYkdLI, the guy had a 55£ bid, item won for 56
- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nigel-Cab...784536?hash=item211fa45698:g:PaoAAOSwLEtYkgiE, the guy had a 133, won for 134.99
- http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=142264782661&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565, the guy had a 72 bid, item won for 74

It seems a quite clear pattern of someone fakely inflating the price, unless he is only a christian giving a hand to a poor fellow, the well known "friendly bid".

If you think this is true consider giving ebay a notice about this, on the item's pages, past and present there is a report item link and you can use it to denounce the practice for listing pratices-fraudulent activities- using other accounts to inflate price. Also consider giving the guy a small message of "appreciation", I did both.

Dude, all your posts here for the last two years have been about how you've felt wronged by some eBay seller. Maybe relax? It's just clothes.

If you don't feel its useful just ignore it. Ebay is quite permissive with this type of sh**t and I hope we all learn from it. I really enjoyed some Nigel Cabourn stuff this guy had for sale, but it smelled scam from the beginning, as were other situations I posted here. Nobody likes to waste their money, I'm no exception.

Luckily, I was never wronged by one of these guys because I never made any deal with none of them, even if I was highly interested in some of their items. One of them, a member of this forum, continues his malpractice after two years and thousands of $$ in sales. I went to the trouble of seeing 40 of his deals before his sales went private (now he can do whatever he wants...), he used several accounts to inflate his articles and passed himself for a connoisseur here, bragging and rubbing shoulders with people in high end items threads, so it was only "fair" to embarrass him a little. And I really really hate friendly bids, if you want a honest deal just do a BIN and forget about it.

If I do not participate more it says a lot about the importance I give to clothes, I do not have much to brag about (what's there to brag when you buy from ebay...), but I do concede I learn a lot here, even if don't teach/share much, sorry about that.

Thanks, really, for your considerate advice, it seems genuinely well intended but I already consider myself a pretty relaxed guy or I wouldn't wear and like Nigel Cabourn :) The caveat is I tend to dislike scammers.

Last, you don´t know how much I enjoy your blog (if you're the writer of dieworkwear), which I discovered around 2 years ago. Last year I read it all from the beginning, I just had too, it was and is a source of constant well written and thoughtful advice, so also thanks for the tremendous effort of putting all that online for us to learn.

Take care!

Damn, now I feel bad.

Thanks for the kind words, and sorry if mine came off harsh.

It's probably shill bidding. I don't know -- it's against eBay's rules, but I also don't think it's uncommon. I just think you throw in your top bid, and if you win, you win.

Anyway, wearing a NC Surface jacket today. At least we can all agree his outerwear is great.

Please don't! I reckon my first posts might have made me look like a righteous Dirty Harry.
Thanks for sharing the love for good/nice clothes.

cool, i went for the new ones
probably gonna wear these everywhere for cooler weather travel if they work for me, dungarees plus a Kapital ring coat means no need for a daily bag

I want to pull the trigger on some of the army trainers made by Moonstar as well
does anybody know how they tag the sizing? When I see 25/6.5, is that Moonstar's 25 (US 7) or Moonstar's 6.5 (JP 24.5)?
