Nicks Boots

I have about 6 weeks of wear on these now. The leather is finally getting soft, and they are very comfortable (unlike the first few weeks, HAHA). They get used for actual work, and I expect they should last quite a few years before any rebuild is needed.

just a fine looking boot, great picture too! makes my wait a little more tolerable. nicks makes a great boot for sure. my stock Roberts fit like a glove.

Well I just received my update on my MTO Nicks.

They are expected to be done in a couple weeks.

That will put me at 23 weeks since I ordered them.

Gosh, that does sound like a long time. I am sorry they are making you wait so long. I hope, at the least, they were apologetic.

I guess they are out of sorts of there at the moment with a move and other changes. Hopefully they get settled and everything straightened out.

LOL. It sounds like a stitch every other day, with stitch planning meetings on the non-stitching days. I love my Nick's, which I got RTW through www.zuriick.com. I am not sure my head wouldn't explode if I had to wait half a year.

My order for CXL roberts went in late Oct. i was told last week that it would be 3 more weeks i just thought it was me that was taking so long. 20 plus weeks is crazy to wait for MTO boots

I am tempted to get some stock Hot Shots from Nick's. I like immediate gratification.

Also, people over on Reddit are claiming that Nick's is the source of the new service boot from New England Outerwear. As Nick's also seems to be looking to hire more people, my guess is they just have more business than they can handle, but don't want to admit it for fear things would then dry up too much for them. Another possibility, is that they keep on pushing single MTOs to the back of the line behind retailer orders and/or work boots for people in their region, who they would figure might be more important to keep happy than random SF fashionistas like me...
