I really enjoyed watching Geoffrion play for Wisconsin. Hope he does well in Montreal.

Sabres can't finish for ****. Numerous 2 on 1's, a penalty shot, and few powerplays - all have been foiled by solid play from Fleury or, more frequently it seems, the crossbar.

Finally got my Rangers back tonight. Thank you Jeremy Lin.

Backstrom standing on his head against Boston (think its him in net).

Great fight between Cascio and Thorton...I feel like I can finally watch hockey again. The whole time we were blacked out, I simply couldn't bring myself to watch any hockey, or even read much in this thread...I'd get too upset. Thank God thats done with.

I just ordered a Richards jersey. Hockey monkey had the authentic ones for $199 plus no charge for the name and numbers. And they had a size 46, so hello new jersey.

You should just buy a chinese knockoff for $50. The price of an authentic jersey is ridiculous. When I went to the Winter Classic I got a chinese ovechkin jersey.:nodding:

I only wear it a few times a year, so I'm ok with it. :satisfied:

Rangers were just screwed out of a goal. Dying moments of the second and it went in just as the clock expired. All of the TV replays showed a tenth of a second on as the puck crossed the line, but apparently Toronto uses a different clock.

I don't know how that works. In the scheme of things, didn't cost us anything, but if that were game 7 of the SCF imagine the shitstorm. Midway through the third period the league sent a shot of their "official clock". So I guess that time is not kept in the arena, but in some secret bunker in a Toronto suburb...NHL should look at this, send out a memo explaining what the deal is, because coaches and players deserve to know what the official time is.

Alright I was totally jaw-dropped speechless at the injustice when I first saw this but now that I have the whole story I am with the league. After the debacle in Los Angeles, they took immediate steps to make sure that never happens again, by keeping a central "official" clock and reviewing and overseeing the last minute of every period played. That is exactly the response they should have taken to the issue, and I'm not about to give them grief for doing so. Because it was recently implemented they haven't got the "official clock" burned in to TV broadcasts yet. That will come, but I'm glad they jumped on the problem and solved it. They got the call right and that's what matters most.

^^^

yeah, +1 in the end and it is good that the league implemented something immediately.

But they really should speed up that official clock on TV broadcasts and all - as NYR mentions, showing time left on the clock druing similar goal reviews on TV broadcasts and on replays in the arenas could case a real **** show come the playoffs. Or during exhibition games in Montreal.

also, the interview with Pronger's wife has me thinking 1) sounds like some scary ****, and 2) I wouldn't be surprised if he hangs them up for good.
