Why not join our handsewn shoemaking course in New York next spring and learn the craft that you so admire?

James Ducker and Deborah Carre - co-founders of London bespoke shoemakers carreducker - are bringing their three week intensive shoemaking course to New York for the first time. Based in an artist's studio in Brooklyn the course will take you through the making process for a pair of men's handsewn Derby shoes - over 200 steps. Starting with a pair of lasts and uppers you will learn to prepare the insole, hand last the uppers, stitch the welt, sew the sole, build the heel and finish the shoes.

The course runs from 10am - 4pm, Monday 27 April - Friday 15 May 2009

Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. To find out more about the course please visit www.carreducker.com

Look forward to seeing you there!
