Same here. Don't have high hopes, though.
It didn't suck, it just wasn't very impressive. And I'd say Alcatraz takes after Fringe much more than Lost.

I thought it was ok, bringing Jorge Garcia's character into the investigation seemed kind of forced, but a lot of pilot episodes tend to have similar problems. Concept is decent though, so I'll keep watching for a couple more episodes at least.

I just wish it wasn't a contrived plot line that relies on the typical crime drama mantra of "another week, another episode, another murderer on the loose"
Where is the originality in the script, when you know that every damn episode will be a new convict with a "special" story to tell each and every week?

even if all the episodes are better then sliced bread the ending will still SUCK!!!!!!!! beacuse its a J.J show.
every single one of his shows endings is a mess...still waiting on Fringe ending (although admittedly if they had stopped it last season with Peter just dissapearing from both altearnate worlds would have actually been pretty good)
