Ok guys, after a few weeks of gainful employment (thanks for the interview tips!) I'm ready to up my shoe game, and I'm looking for your knowledge and wisdom before I pull the trigger. I'm looking to get two pairs, each around $200. Here's what I'm looking at:

Brown:

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/allen-ed...resultback=422

OR Burgundy:

AND Black:

I'm thinking AE Park Ave or Fifth Ave. I know a member on here is selling them at $250, which works for me, but I'm also wearing my current crappy shoes through the bone and I'm not sure if I can wait 3 weeks.

Not sure if Brown or Burgundy is what I want to go with. I've looked all over this site, but most of the advice seems to be for casual wear. I'm wearing these with suits or business casual (the brown or burgundy ones will be mostly bus cas). I own a navy and a charcoal suit. I'm going to add some sort of lighter color, either a grey, olive, or taupe. And possibly a midnight blue as well.

These will be my first pair of SF-acceptable shoes, so if you have any suggestions for care that you'd also want to post here I'd love to have them in one spot.

Thanks!

I would start with dark brown and black. I would also wait a bit longer and get two pairs of better shoes. Or get one pair of very nice shoes and rotate with the ones you have now and then wait, save up and get a comparable shoe again and put it in the rotation. Keep that pace going for 40 years or so and you should be good.
