Need A Quick Opinion...

So I have this event to go to in a few hours and can't make a quick decision, just need some quick opinions since they are virtually identical outfits, just different colors.

Anyways, first option is black pants with subtle grey pinstripes, black shoes, and a white oxford shirt under a medium grey cashmere shawl pullover.

Second option is grey pants, brown shoes, and a light blue oxford shirt under a dark brown cashmere shawl pullover.

Opinions? Neither? I'm trying to avoid wearing a suit because I have to catch dinner afterwards with some friends at a significantly more casual place.

It depends on your colors and complexion.

For me it is the first option.

Wish I had my camera around to take a quick picture but I'm not sure where it is at the moment, the best I can say is I have fairly tan skin and medium/dark brown hair.

So for me it is option one.

But the main thing for meetings is: stay cool and relax. Oh, and have fun!

Definitely number two. Number one sounds like an outfit you'd see in a late-90's Banana Republic window display.
