I'm thinking about a short trip to Naples this fall. Can anyone recommend a good and clean hotel for the "budget-concious" (max. 200 $ a night) traveler?

Thanks in advance.

I have never stayed here, but I have heard good things from friends who have. The location is in the central area which has a lot of food and shopping (from Hermes to butcher shops). You really don't want to stay out by the train station as it is kind of sketchy. Prices here are aroun $200 a night for singles, $220 for doubles. You could tell them that you want to request the Noveporte rate (an Italian stye forum/site) and you might do a bit better. They have a deal with this hotel. http://www.palazzoalabardieri.it/eng/index.asp

I would reccomned staying in Salerno and simply going to napoli with train, you can get a good hotel in Salerno for that price where as in Napoli it is harder and wat you may find will be not as clean as what you find in Salerno.

You guys shouldn't be so hard on Naples, FL. I find it an enjoyable place when I visit my in-laws.
