does Mina carry the W. Bill linen and Lesser cloth, or did you bring it to her? I don't remember seeing it when I saw her last time.

I picked up the W. Bill from London (W. Bill moved a few months back incidentally, now at 23 Sackville Street just behind Regent Street). I believe Mina carries Lesser now, although that particular suitslength was from Isles in NY (Isles also sells W. Bill). +1 for Parker's comments regarding Ariston linen.

BTW, how do you like your DB blazer? I have been wearing an NSM DB mid gray flannel (HL 30648) for the past couple months and like it a lot. I am planning to get at least 2 more DBs. My lapels are about 1 cm or so lower than yours, and I am thinking of getting them wider. . .

I really enjoy wearing Mina's DB jackets. My most recent is a suit from mid grey Fox flannel; the jacket required some minor alterations but I'll try to snap a fit pic in the next few weeks.

I just took appointment for their coming to Paris.

It seems that many clients of NSM provide them with their own fabric. Do you think I should do the same, or it is as fine as ordering the frabric from NSM? (I am not looking for anything exotic : worsted navy pinstripe and/or blue jacketing)

I am considering commissioning a suit for my wedding through Mina @ Napoli Su Misura and would love to get your thoughts regarding an appropriate suiting. As for some context, my other "nice" suit is a navy birdseye and I was hoping to achieve 2 things with this new suit: have something appropriate for my own wedding; broaden my suit wardrobe.
As such, I was considering a grey/charcoal suiting, perhaps with a herringbone weave. What do others think of such a selection? Is it appropriate for the goals above? Any other considerations I have left out?
The configuration would be a slightly conservative double vented, notch lapel, flapped pockets (as much as I enjoy patch pockets), 3r2

Mina can certainly do that suit. She insists upon flap pockets for suits

But, be sure to allow sufficient time with her travel schedule. Make it clear when you need it. My last suit needed a few extra adjustments and has taken longer than usual to receive.

IMO I would choose a navy fabric over grey for a wedding. It always seems to photograph better offering more contrast against a white wedding dress. I also think it will look more timeless years from now when you pull out your wedding pics. But, I'm sure there are some beautiful grey wedding suit fabric options. Especially if you stay on the darker charcoal side of grey.

Herringbone is usually a bit more heavy fabric and weave. Do you want a heavier fabric for a wedding suit? If so, fine. But if not, be sure to specify that you want to see lightweight options. We don't want you breaking a sweat on your big day

I have a very heavy cashmere/wool blend herringbone fabric jacket that is almost finished. From what I've seen at the fitting I think it looks great in the NSM house style and with patch pockets. I actually like that it doesn't look like a classic English cut tweed jacket. I think her spin on it makes it look a bit more modern yet also very similar to many of the soft drape jackets seen on movie stars in the 1940's. But, with a slightly trimmer fit and shoulder.

I think if I wanted a more English look I would have gone to Chan. But, I don't think Chan could have done this. I guess it comes down to selecting the right tailor for the look you want to achieve.

Not necessarily. I froze my butt off in Rome one March and when we travelled
to Urbino we passed snow drifts.
