MTM Tuxedo Questions

I intend on purchasing a MTM tuxedo from a local store. I have discussed with the tailor the certain features I would like:
-Satin shawl collar
-Single button
-three buttons on the sleeve
-side vents
-besom pockets w/flap (so that i can fold the flap in and have plain besom pockets)
-pants will be flat front, non-cuffed
I figure this is a fairly uncontroversial, classic styling. Is there anything I have overlooked or should change?

Sounds ideal; I personally, would go for **** pockets on a tux though. Good luck! Post pics when its finished

Personally i prefer a grosgrain facing to the lapel, as it's less shiny, but that's just my preference.

Side vents have become quite acceptable, my preference is ventless though.

Much the same, flat front has become acceptable, but i much prefer a higher rise, single pleat pant with suspender buttons.

I wouldn't have flaps. When would you wear the jacket and use the flaps?

My current dinner jacket has satin notch lapels, ventless. It doesnt look bad and fits perfectly.
I am still undecided on the vents. I dont think small side vents on a tuxedo look bad though.
As for the flat front pants, I am a college student (read "young&quot and I believe that I look better in flat front pants. All of my suits and pants are flat front, with the exception of a suit that my father passed on to me.
The flaps dont really take away from the look if folded in, and they are no extra cost, so i figured "why not?"
I have three sets of formal neck wear: plain black satin, black satin with silver dots, and my club bowtie which is black with gold crest. All are satin finish and not grosgrain, so I figured I would get the lapel of the new jacket to match, and I dont mind the shiny finish.

not a fan of peak lapels for myself. They tend to make me look shorter than i already am.
