As of this morning, Nathan had 8 shirts done, and 3 more to sew. He's hoping to ship them to me on Friday....

I thought you guys might like to see a few photos of how Nathan makes the shirt patterns. Sorry for the big sizing, but I am linking from his account and can't resize at the moment. Getting started

Base of the shirt where the gussets will be

It looks like Nathan makes a pattern for half of the back of a shirt, then recuts it smaller to make half of the front?

I think #16 (dark tan) with navy stitching would be pretty sweet as a workman...

^That would look nice. Good news: The shirts are all done, except for the buttons on a few. Bad news: Nathan couldn't get some of the buttons from his supplier and had to order them from Japan. They were supposed to arrive last Thursday, but as of today, they are still sitting in customs.

^No kidding! At this point I wish that Nathan had just offered us other button choices instead of ordering from Japan. But, then again, he is the kind of guy who will obsess about getting everything exactly how you wanted it, even if it means a week delay. So, I feel bad that it's taking longer than I thought it would, but I'm looking forward to having them all in my hands soon. I'll be sure to post a few quick pics as I box them up and send 'em to you all. I'll get the boxes labeled and ready tomorrow jsut so I'm ready!

No problem, Zissou -- for custom orders, that's understandable -- 5 or 6 weeks is still perfectly reasonable for this sort of thing, so I don't mind the wait at all. If anything, anticipation makes the reward that much greater.

I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of everyone else's shirts as much as mine!
