Time crimes and Primer on the scifi end of things. I'm not sure either of those has had the opportunity to be considered underappreciated, but are rather unknown movies due to it's low US distribution. Unlike something like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang that got what I consider to be a fair distribution, but went largely unnoticed by most people.

Mine are relatively unknown.

The movie that has had the most impact on me recently is Shotgun Stories, from 2008, which seems to have gotten next to no traction. It's a great drama. Two warring clans in an Arkansas backwater.

I have this, haven't watched yet but it looks very interesting.

Brother - Beat Takeshi Yakuza film set in the U.S. with Omar Epps that while derivative of other works, deserves better than the like two other people I've ever met who've watched it. (one of whom watched it with me)

Series 7

Frailty

Ravenous

Street Smart

The Caveman's Valentine

The Lookout

Night Of The Creeps - Dare I say, the ultimate cheesy 80's sci-fi/horror flick?

The Seige

What Planet Are You From?

Vision Quest

Mister Frost - Ok, this is actually kind of an awful movie, but Jeff Goldblum's performance makes it worthwhile. This movie has a lot of potential for a remake, IMO. Baked Alaska?

I think because it was such a bad Mamet movie, and largely predictable.

State and Main was perhaps the best recent flick from Mamet and underrated. Matter of fact I think all his comedy is underrated.

+1.

Contemporary film noir is great.

Going to add Lakeview Terrace and Wordplay to the list as well.

You must not hang out with enough hipsters.

Brother is ok but not among Kitano's best. I haven't watched any of the new ones (last watched is Takeshis which was total crap).

+ 1 on Brother (although I saw the US version, not the uncut japanese one which I really want to see)

Yeah...I would but I'm unable to grow the requisite beard.

Yeah, at #206 in the IMDB rankings I don't think it's necessarily underappreciated. It's pretty great anyway though.
