Curious too, never knew there's a "Ram" last in the Meermin line.

FWIW: The Kempton mentioned by @gettoasty is made on Loake's 026 last, not Capital.

Additionally, either the 026 was once available in G, or Herring had the model made in G. If the shoe gettoasty talked about is indeed in G – which seems sensible given his wide feet – , going up one full size for the Hiro would make perfect sense, since people usually go down half a size from the Capital (F) to the 026 (G).

eh... what about a smaller size?

Looking to jump into a group MTO but need some sizing advice...

    My current size:
    G&G (all lasts): 5.5E
Carmina Rain: 5.5 --although abit tight at first, it stretches to conform. I'm pretty sure I'll hate the Simpson last.

Which last would best fit me: Hiro or Olfe? and in which size?

I'm assuming it'll be the same as my Carmina's: 5.5 but would it be any different if it were a Meermin boot?

Does any one know for MTO orders that have decorative nails in the sole (Usually initials)

Will they also do shapes? Like:

I am a UK 9G and I have a high instep as well. For example, I cannot tie my lace tight on Herring Knightsbridge (which is an Oxford). Fits me fine otherwise.

I was wondering if anyone has tried Meermin shoes and know which lasts will suit an oddity like me.

    Thank you.

I'd say Olfe in 5.5. It fits similar to Rain.

No need to repost if you don't get an answer the first time. Odds on nobody knows. Try emailing Meermin?

another good experience from the Meermin team, email responses within 24 hours.

For a pair of in stock shoes:

09/feb/2014 Order introduced into the system.
    11/feb/2014 Order initiated.
    11/feb/2014 Order finished.
    12/feb/2014 Order send it.

so from order to receiving the shoes, around 1 whole week!

Just out of curiosity, which shoes they stock: what did you order, if you don't mind me asking? I ordered some brown captoe oxfords on the Hiro last recently. Hope to receive them soon.

I ordered a pair of black cordovan cap toes. You should email them to ask if the shoes you are ordering are in stock or not.

Very nice! I ordered the same shoe in early January. 10.5UK. Would you mind sharing your total turnaround time from ordering to ship date?

Has anyone had any success in getting a response from pepe on MTO request?

I have emailed him maybe 3 times now across a few months apart and still have not received any response

I can also confirm, tha Meermin seemingly have improved their logistics considerably:

•01/feb/2014 Order introduced into the system.

    •04/feb/2014 Order initiated.

    •13/feb/2014 Order paid.

    •13/feb/2014 Order finished.

    •13/feb/2014 Order send it.

Same deal with me. No firm order from me, just some exploratory questions about leather/style availability three different times, and no response. I chalked up the silence at first to travel/holidays. But now, it's like, I can certainly find other uses for $400+ without chasing him down.

    Thx!

What last is the Hiro similar to? I'd rather have it slightly wider than my Rain last... not really a big fan of it.

Your milage of this trick may vary but I too hadn't had any responses from Pepe from a couple of emails last year so emailed luisa and she then got pepe back into the communications quickly. I have a funny feeling the guy gets a tonne of emails and is very busy, that being said their organisational capacity or unwillingness to hire an admin person to deal with this stuff isn't necessarily a customers concern.

I think its too early to say whether they have improved logistics or not the reality is shoes they have in stock have always shipped quite quickly its when they aren't in stock, which is most cases where you should set your expectations to a month.
