Hi everyone!
I'm trying to figure out how to measure myself as I make my own jeans.
Waist:
Numerous websites indicate that the waist measurement is right above the belly button, or rather the line between the lowest rib bone and the hip bone. My inquiry is that jeans today are hipster and low-waist jeans that sit right on the hip bone. In the case of hipster jeans, do I still measure my waist on the traditional waistline?
Knees:
Okay this one is tricky. How do I measure the knee area? I've heard that the knee line is 2 inches above half of the inseam. Thoughts? Does the width of the knee have much to do with how contemporary or "slim-fit" the jeans are? Including the leg bottom measurement.
Thank you for your help everybody.
