I voted Toad as that's who I always used in MK64. I then read your post and saw you weren't talking about that version so I felt sad because I never played the original. Now I am ignoring your actual post and telling myself that you in fact did mean MK64. That way I feel better.

Luigi was fast, and because he was lanky he could maneuver through tight spots with ease.

Yoshi is like the Kenneth Cole of Mario Kart. Koopa is like the Alden. Toad . . . AE

yoshi is the best, come on. it's not about racing attributes, he's simply the coolest character in all o these nintendo smash-up games....well, at least till jigglypuff and captain falcon debuted in super smash bros.

Generally the douchiest characters--- Yoshi, Toad, Luigi--- are strong competitors in any MK game. And the most badass ones--- Bowser, Mario, etc--- are weaker. Bowser was such a badass on certain courses, though. Like a course with a lot of straighaways. He could get up to high speed and then knock people around. Courses where there was a lot of kart density would make you want to kill yourself for choosing Bowser, because he is so slow to accelerate.

My girlfriend always picks Toad. She is damn good at Mario Kart too, every game in the franchise from SNES up through the Wii.
The thing about Toad is that you might have a better chance at winning, but who the **** honestly wants to be that guy that picks Toad. Seriously.

Stop ruining my life, douche. I will now aspire to marry my highschool sweetheart, drive a '01 Toyota and eat at 'fancy' places like Black Angus but only with a coupon.
