I am thinking about picking up a modern, slim, suit by Marc Jacobs that is like the one Adrian Brody wears in "The Darjeeling Limited" How much is it going to cost me, and does anybody know if Marc Jacobs suits have a floating canvass? Thanks a bunch.

I thought they all wore Louis Vuitton.

Anyways, MJ suits actually can be bought as seperates so about $900-$1050 for a jacket and $275-$350 for panties.

^Agreed. MJ suit construction depends on the season/item, in my experience. His items are mostly constructed at Gibo, IIRC, which in general is a very good RTW maker. But, again, keep in mind he's more interested in creating a certain style/aesthetic with an item, not trying to keep with a sartorial tradition blagh blagh blagh. So, get the suit if you like the style and don't mind paying the price, not because it is going to last you until the year 2150 and cause AAAC member's to wet themselves over its handwork.

I might be off on the pants, so say maybe 300-500 for the pants; but, I'm correct on the jackets. I was looking at them for my BF for Christmas.

I've tried a few MJ jackets, all were canvassed (and very nice). The fit, though, was definitely not slim. Had to return them. I would consider going down a size.
