Guy's got the body for it, but I'm just not feeling "Superman" when I look at his face. Maybe future pics will change my mind. At the moment, I'm just not sure he has the right look.

Agreed, but I do wish Hollywood would stop adding unneeded texture to comic book costumes.

EDIT: Look at how LONG his cape is. I could be remembering wrong, but that seems much longer then the ones in past movies. Thing would be dragging everywhere and getting caught on things.

^ RE: the cape. Yes, very Spawn-like but I'd rather have it longer than shorter.

I do understand people's reluctance to include unneeded texture to superhero costumes but I think they add a sense of realism and grit. Plus, I'm in the camp that believes they translate better on-screen than a simple unitard or spandex seen in comics.

If that pic is legit then I am not too happy with the look. Supes looks way too old and the suit just looks Spider-Man-ish with the texture. Shield looks cheap as hell too, like it's molded clay and placed on his chest. I think the texture might be more bearable if the shield isn't the same texture.

I thought the previous suit was fine(the one routh wore). It had texture but was very subtle...just was always on the fence about the burgundy parts.

Looks like a shot just done for promotion to me. Look at how low quality the background looks. No way that's from footage. They have time to tweak the look before the movie hits.

I'm sure it'll look better on-screen and when in action but still, that shield looks like ****. Plus they gave him wrist guards? At first I thought it was stacking but if you look closer they are wrist guard. It's gothic and Lord of the Ring style too.
