I'd like to visit Maine someday. How is it? A nice state? It seems like the old coastal towns would be a treat.

It was a nice place to visit. I was flown in while in College for a job interview up there in what can only be described as a toilet paper roll with seats. The pilot stepped on the plane, asked if anyone needed him to go hit the vending machine for drinks, hopped in the seat and took off.

The interview went well and the town seemed quaint (whatever Stephen King's town is - we saw his house) but then my lunch interviewers turned tour guides insisted that we stop at the mall to ride the escalator. The term 'mall' was used rather loosely, mind you, and they were genuinely excited that they now had an escalator and thought that it might convince me to move to Moose county if I could just experience the thrill for myself. I respectfully bowed out of contention at the end of the interview citing that I wouldn't be a good fit.

I think New Hampshire farm country would be great.

I just figured that since Conne usually equates farmland to white trash, racist, and hicks, he would do the same for Maine farmland.

Quite beautiful and quaint in the summer. A good share of Taffy making stores with the automatic puller in the front window to lure tourists. Lighthouses, even some heavyhouses.
