I recently purchased a pair of Artista wholecuts and Toni had me send in photos and comparisons. I'm a 13D in Allen Edmonds, and he ended up suggesting 12E's for the Artista shoes.

I should get my shoes Monday, so pics incoming and I'll say something about fit then, but either way Toni reached out after my order to give a specific suggestion and I'd defer to Toni on that.

Looking forward to your feedback on the fit. I messaged Toni as well about the question regarding width and he mentioned that I would also map to an "E" width (so narrow) in TLB. So I am a little confused since typically the standard fit across almost all shoe makers fit well for me.

I'm in the same boat. I've been messaging Toni and sending him photos. I normally wear a US 12. He says I'm a UK 9 with an "H" width (extra wide). So, I've been wearing a longer size than I need to get the width I do need. Interesting and insightful conversation. I'm going to follow Toni's directions when I place my order.

My shoes actually came early!

As far as fit, they're amazing. I've never owned a shoe this narrow, and it certainly feels narrow, but it's not uncomfortable, and I'm sure will be quite comfortable once it's broken in a bit. They are snug all around my foot, in a way my Allen Edmonds really aren't. It's not that my feet are swimming in the AEs, it's just that these fit so closely. I'm really impressed with the fit, and the construction overall.

I also got the lasted shoetrees. I have Woodlores for all my other shoes, and these are noticeably more supportive in the shoe (but considerably more expensive than the Woodlores.)

A few pictures. Pardon the jeans, I was just excited to try them on.

I haven't paid a whole lot of attention (yet) to the Artista lasts, but those certainly look gorgeous on your feet! I bet they will make for some very sleek outfits. Beautiful!

Thank you! This is the 108 Picasso last.

Yeah those look proper! Congrats on the new pair. In Toni we trust. When I told him I wear 11.5 in standard width for some European brands he also had me send pictures and measurements. He eventually had me order 10G UK and his shoes fit me like gloves. I’m about to get my third pair this coming week. My other two pairs are one from Artista and one from mainline and neither needed any break in. Zero heel slip and incredible comfort.

How did TLB do with the toe plates? Perfectly flush?

Sadly no. This is my 3rd pair. On the 121 they were sticking out. On the mainline boot they were perfectly flush. On this 192 there’s unevenness so flush on one side of of a plate and sticking out on the other. Not the best job if I have to say so. I think next time I’ll just have my cobbler do it tbh.

I can take better pictures later if you want.

I don’t wanna make it sound like they were just utter crap. I think it may only take a couple millimeters I think to take it from perfect to less than ideal.
