Hi there, this is my first pictoral post, so be kind!

Notwithstanding the fact that what was meant to be a blue-sky-and-sun wedding turned into a typically English rainfest, I'm interested to canvas opinion on the fit of the suit jacket.

Trousers, deliberately omitted from pick, owing to, err, shall we say 'work in progress'!

Thanks gents.

Yep, I was a tad disappointed with the tie - damn online shopping - by the time it arrived, I was so set on wearing it I went against my better judgment.

Next time, though...

Hard to tell. Seems OK.

Is there a breast pocket? My monitor isn't sure.

I see what you mean Condordia – yes, there is a not-as-hidden-as-it-looks breast pocket.

A square is essential. This would look good with a linen or cotton TV fold, perhaps with a navy rolled edge...

Thanks Louche – noted for the next occassion. Mind you, brings me to another question that's been nagging me – would it be considered overkill to wear a PS and also a buttonhole?

What do you mean by "wearing a buttonhole?" Do you mean a boutonnière (flower on your lapel)? If so, then I say no. I wouldn't wear a boutonnière for business, but I've seen it done for social occasions in tandem with a square and it looked very good. As I said, however, a square is mandatory; if you can't pull-off the combo of boutonnière and square give precedent to the square.

Sorry, yes, a boutonni̬re Рthe suit was worn for a wedding you see Рhadn't realised 'buttonhole' in this sense was a peculiarly British term (thanks Wikipedia).

But, square it is!

Yet another thing I've learned from SF. I agree about tie width and pocket square.

Jacket looks a little short in the sleeves. Shirt and tie doen't seem to match the suit at all. I'm not sure what is appropriate with a linen suit, but they seem too dressy.

I think the sleeve length is fine but a light blue, pink, lavender etc. shirt would look better.
