I'm 6'1" about 225, I got a big frame but I'm not that fat. On levis 505 I'm a 36 waist.

You think I could pull off 511's? I love the way they stack and show off my kicks. I'm thinking about sizing up to a 38 or even 40 if I do get them. I don't like the way they feel at a 36 (I got an old pair at a 34 that fits, but way too tight around the waist), too tight don't want that muffin top, lolz. If not, any denim that isn't too pricey that will stack and show off my shoes? I was thinking 501's STF but still don't wanna take that risk cause I'm still new to the denim thing.

I'd highly recommend against it. 514 is probably better suited for your frame. FYI at 6'2" and 180lbs, I think its almost pushing it to wear 511's. They are meant for people with skinny legs and slim builds.

Should I get them at 36 x 38 and tapered? what you recommend? I'm going for a look like Chuck Inglish his denim is dope. He's waaaay fatter than me though.

If you're 38 or 40, 511 doesn't sound like the best fit. The rise on 511's is fairly low as well. 501 are a lot wider leg than 511's, I think you should try 514's. They will probably give you the fit you want, if they are too wide then try 511's... But I think jumping at 511's before checking out 514's would be a mistake. You can taper 514's if they are good in the thighs but too wide at the bottom, sure.

I tried 514's from amazon, and the leg opening was ridiculously huge, but I'm gonna hit up the stores and see if I can find different waist and length combos. I'm a 36 but I'm thinking about sizing up to get the 511's baggier, because at 36 I think I'm to big to rock them right.

i have far different proportions than yourself, but sizing up 1 seems to be the conclusion i've reached with 511's for myself.
