Yeah, I ran across these the other day after finding out about the 40% off coupon. Unfortunately, the lengths only come in 34 now, so I found a pair of new old stock instead.

Any idea why the lengths only come in 34 for the selvedge now when they were varied previously?

An associate in the Vegas Levi's store said that a 34" inseam was the largest that the "vintage shuttle looms" produced (resulting in selvage denim).

I laughed at him.

I'd actually be interested in a 30 or 32 length. Why no love for the sizes that'd still be doable on said "vintage shuttle looms"? Hahaha.

why not just get them hemmed if you just want them shorter?

True enough, but wouldn't it be nice to have an exact-fitting option, especially if you knew that it was previously available?

Anyone know if the selvedge 501s are made of a different denim than the normal 501 STFs (other than the selvedge of course)?

The cut on these is so awful, Carrhart status

Not much better in quality than the regular ones either

Def not worth it.

When the **** is Levis gonna make the 511 STF is the question.

I don't think the 511s are raw. If they are I've never seen them fade as well as STFs (which aren't great, but are good enough).
