What would it take for you to join a cult? I'm thinking at a minimum I would need

1. No impending death/end of the world bullshit

2. Lots of parties, alcohol and naturally growing hallucinogenics

3. Indoor plumbing

4. Located on a mountain, with a beach compound accessible year round, and good restaurants reasonable

This is the minimum, for me at least.

That's a pretty low bar, but might make me drop some of my other requirements. Maybe no marriage should be added to the list.

It's assumed there's no family ties to join a cult; people tend to join them as they belong to no other groups. You get the occasional couple joining but they're always the ones that benefit from bilking the general membership.

You can have Tang, but chocolate drinks are for girls.
