Sooo… how was everyone’s Daze Coasts been holding up? Been lowkey tryna wait for any kind of discount but I’m probably just going to cop retail. Thinking about sizing up one for a bit baggier fit tho.

Also been eying Acne 1996 but I am unsure how the quality is compared to JE.

Own multiple Acne Jeans - quality is not fully on par with JE but only maybe a half notch below but you're also paying less. Good denim, interesting cuts and solid washes. What justifies JE denim for me though is the washes are way more interesting and a lot of times unique relative to Acne or other similar tier denim.

That being said, It would be great to get some wider fit denim from JE. I've said it before but an 8" opening with a straight leg would be a killer. release it in nimbus or carbon and you've got a game changer

Ok Last thing. I think someone mentioned this before. BUY WHAT YOU LIKE. I don’t rock mids but If you chose to, go ahead. Trust me when I tell you, 1s use to SIT!!! People hated them. Now they are one of the most sought after silhouette.

This is a sidebar to the main topic but 1s are beginning to sit where I live. Pretty much every drop since the spring sat. To be fair most of the colourways were bricks but if the bordeauxs had dropped last yr guaranteed they'd sell out

Bare in mind Acne ‘96 run super long. I’m 6’3 and usually wear 34 inch inseams. My 96s I wear a 30 inseam and still have to cuff them.
Damn that’s weird. Other stockists (porter) have their model at 6’1 wearing a 32 length pair and they look fine

@Edeezus Do NOT listen to this. I am 5’9 and have had the Acne 1996 in two colors, Light Blue and Black, and 30” inseam is perfect! Each pair fits a bit differently, as the Blue is very light weight and stretchy, whereas the Black is more rigid and doesn’t stretch much, BUT the length is accurate.

Yeah certain colorways do sit now. colorways. Totally agree that Bordeaux pair would have sold out with the quickness. But back day the OG colorways use to sit. It’s amazing how things change over the years. Got to love the machine of Nike lol

That’s great to hear. Appreciate your review. How is the sizing on waist? Is it on the tighter side?

When I picked up my Infrared 6s from Foot Locker a couple of years ago, they had plenty of Turbo Green J1s sitting on the shelf... now they're going for 500+ on StockX. Given how cheap they felt in hand, I'm amazed that people are paying that much
