Hey guys, I'm somewhat new to this forum. I've bought a couple JE sweatshirts, and tees but never bought a pair of denims before. I'm about 5'9" 170 lbs and I normally wear size 32x30 in most brands. What size should I be getting for these? Will I be able to fit into a size 28? Please help

This will also really depend on your build. I am pretty much the same size as you, workout a little...nothing crazy but I can't size down a suggested in JE because the jeans would be too tight around my thighs, legs, etc. I wear a size 31, did not adjust my sizing at all.

Hey it may help if you can name some of the brands so people who own denim from both those brands and JE can make a comparison. Alternatively, you can measure the waist of your jeans that fit well and compare that to the measurements on the JE site. However, keep in mind that the JE raw denim (and even the washed JE denim to some extent) will stretch out with wear.

Hey I usually buy my denim from AllSaints and buy 32x30 pants from there. Sometimes jcrew chinos in a 32x30 as well

From what I'm reading a size 32 doesn't translate to 32 in john Elliott denims. Even on their site it says he model is 5'11" 160 lbs with a 31 inch waist and wears a size 29. So I was just wondering what that meant for me.

You would probably want a size 30. Your best bet is to measure the waist of a pair of jeans that fit you well, laid flat, and then compare that waist measurement to our size chart and match it up with the right size. The jeans are vanity sized in the waist by about 2 inches.

If you take the measurements of a pair of jeans that fit you in the same way the measurements are listed on our site, you should be able to determine your size.

However, this will no longer be true as of August as we are launching our updated denim fit, which will be more true to size - we will have a lot of information about those including new size guides prior to release.

Just go down 1 or 2 at most. Personally I normally can't size down because I have bigger thighs from running track. So even if waist are big, I can't get the denim to go that far up lol so just gotta deal with it. I'm sure you'll be fine with 30 or 31

I think I'm gonna size up one on the new hoody since I can't let the bottom out with the zippers and it looks pretty tight around the waist.

It doesn't contain any RiRi zippers right?

The Baseline Hoodie is $198. It doesn't contain zippers but has added sewing details that contribute to that cost. The kangaroo pocket is concealed through a style line that runs down the hoodie - the same style line runs down the Baseline Sweats, which have small Riri zippers at the front pockets within the style lines.
