JLs (7000 Last) size, compared to Church's

I would like to ask if there are any differences on the size of those two brands. I am thinking of buying a JL, last 7000.

I am wearing Church's on 8.5 UK (F), in all lasts (136,119)

Should I go on JL for the 8.5 UK (E) as well? The problem is that I cannot go and try JLs in Edinburgh as I haven't found any stores that selling them here.

Would really appreciate your help.

FWIW, JL7000 should be exactly one size down from your US size. I don't own Churchs, so can't comment there, but a JL7000 8.5 fits my US 9.5 foot perfectly.

I do live in the UK, so I am actually trying just to see how the JL's 8.5 UK is compared to Church's 8.5 UK.

Does the JL logo goes away after some time or those shoe are just rejected (or maybe resoled)?


I can't spot the "John Lobb / Made in England" embossing in the waist area.

they are lobbs i find the 7000 really narrow.

I measured my foot by myself, it came at 10.8 inches. From a size conversion chart it seems that I am 10.5 US, isn't that right?
