Picked up a pair of Zephirin from Mr Porter. I really like them but my other half is saying they are too small for my face. Any thoughts or any other models that might work better for me?

This is probably the best pic I can get.

I think they look good on you, the Zephirin isn't a big bold frame as it is. However, you might want to take a farther pic in the mirror. This happens with shots of watches a lot, but your phone up close will distort the image making whatever is in center look bigger. Doesn't look like it's happening too bad here, but the way you can mitigate this is to back up/add distance.

They look good to me. Great frame with the tortoiseshell too.

Thanks for the responses. Had my eye on a pair of Zephirin for a while now and the last thing I thought was that they might be too small. I'll probably keep them as I like the style and the Havana tortoise shell but going to see if I can try on a few other styles before keeping them. @Hanto I don't suppose you know anywhere in London with a good selection to try on?

Not sure if they have them on the shop floor but there is Eye Company, Mallon and Taub, Taylor West (East Dulwich) and Alan Simmons.

You could see if Matches can ship them to a store to try pairs on maybe too?

So I had my eye exam and could use a very minor prescription. So why not? It’s just more reasoning behind buying another pair of JMM.
I just need to figure out how to get some money back from insurance for $600 frames

I just placed an order for JMM frames in which I'll put +1 reading lenses...

I'm fairly new to wearing prescription lenses, but I believe the same concern for overmedication exists in optometry that exists in other aspects of somatic medicine. At least for astigmatism - which is what I have - my optician made the argument that I shouldn't coax my eyes unnecessarily, as it leads to a strain of it's own. For that reason my prescription is less corrective than the actual ovalness of my cornea would dictate.

Not to thwart your jawnz dreamz.
