That was my gripe with their Langham coats too. I know big pockets can ruin how a coat looks, but the pockets are made for hobbit hands. When it's cold out, you sometimes stuff your hands in your pockets to keep warm. Not possible in these jackets.

I doubt my local shop would have a xs in that jacket. I'll have to post some fit pics and gather some opinions.

You can try to exchange it. Where are you located?

In comparison my Cadet Jacket in a small.

And my Bayswater Peacoat in a small. Had to lighten up the pic a little to show the color and definition a little better.

Woodland fits you fine. It's meant to be a little oversized IMO. I just bought one and I am about to wax it just to do something new while I am bored in the winter.

Not a fan of the Woodland Jacket, but love the other two.

I'm located in Iowa. We only have one store in the whole state. If I take it back there and they don't have any in an XS, they can find a store that does and have it shipped to me? I'm an hour and a half away from that store, so traveling there is a small jaunt.

I just feel like I want it to fit a little more like my other two coats, more fitted. I love the overall look of the coat though.

I agree, Woodland fits you fine. It is meant to be able to accommodate layers. XS would probably be too short in the sleeves and/or tight in the shoulders.

I'd like to see a side pic of the peacoat.

They can call other stores to see if they have it and ship it to you, but individually. There isn't a magic number to call and check nationwide availability in stores (the red phone checks the catalog, which is also different from online). They may be able to do a We Will Find It For You, which sends a message to all stores looking for that item, but if the jacket is on sale, it probably can't be done.

Funny but I don't have that problem with it. My only gripe with it is the double zipper can be a pain to fit together at times. Other than that I love the jacket. Haven't had a day yet this winter that it wasn't warm enough for.

Nice to see another Iowa native on here. I made 4 phone calls, first to local store, lady said they can only accept returns/exchanges through approval of catalog/online, and have to note it on my account. Called catalog and explained the situation to a gentlemen, he said all he could do was check stores and they would let me know in 24-48 hours, and just ship me one, but couldn't return it since it wasn't sold online or in the catalog anymore. Then called back to my store, talked to the manager on duty, she told me to call the Mich. ave store and see if they would send me one. MOD @ the Mich Ave store didn't have any, and said to call catalog back to have them check stock @ the stores, since they have the ability to do it through their computers. Everyone has been nice, but I'm striking out here. So I'm kinda stuck right now. Sucks b/c my other coats fit perfect in a small. *Update* just did an online chat, they said all stores are sold out in xs.

I'm going to go against the grain here, but I do think the woodland does look a bit wide, especially around the torso and waist - looking at pic#3. Considering that the waxed cotton doesn't really drape and tends to wrinkle and bunch-up, it might look odd in the long run. On the other hand, shoulders and length and sleeves seem okay.

Considering we have the two exact same jackets and how it looks on you, I'm guessing you are about 5'9"/10" and 140lbs'ish? If your chest is less than 35" and you don't plan to layer-up much beyond t-shirt and light to medium sweater, then I think you should get an xs if you can. I have the xs it's a perfect fit for me - having the approximate stats aforementioned. Have them check the Santa Monica 3rd Street/The Grove stores, those two had xs's right before xmas.

On an unrelated note, for those around LA looking for the wool langham in loden/medium, Sherman Oaks has one hanging in the sales section with 40% off.
