Better get one before they're all gone. I noticed on the site they're marked for clearance. !!

This pretty nice, a decent approximation of the crew one, but it looks bulkier. Having gotten mine for 100 off another member I think it's worth the approx. $67 more for the slimer look and having less text on the dial.

I can't believe the amount of talk this thread has had over a Timex watch.

If I need cheap crap i'll go to Target. They have the same low prices and yet somehow seem to remain clean and white trash free. Plus they actually have some stylish home goods if you look around.

That's too bad. You're missing out on some high hilarity. The proportion of mullet haircuts for one thing is enough entertainment to make up for the 'ethical misery' of stopping in for 5 minutes to buy a Timex watch. I'll say 5 Hail Mary's at confession next week.

(For the record, the only time I go to Wal Mart is for dumb **** like this, i.e., like once every 5 years. I too go to Target for the cheap-o household goods. Or Ikea.)

As for the watch, it really is not bulkier. It is virtually the same in dimensions. The JC SM and I compared. The differences largely are in the face--the notches on the numbering and the distressing, and the different color face. The crystal might be higher quality, though the 30-dollar also looks to be glass.

The J. Crew is not slimmer. And really?! 67 bucks to have a little less text?! I'm convinced more than ever that the J. Crew Timex is a gigantic scam. Consumer beware.

Of course, its a Timex. I remember last year when they released it, my Dad liked it but then saw the price and said, "Over 100$ for a Timex, WTF?"

The Walmart one looks thicker from the pictures the silver stands out to my eye more than the crew one does. Combined with less text, I'm happy with the watch I have. Just my humble opinion.

Come on, Wal Mart's loads more entertaining than most movies playing at the cinema, plus it's free. Besides, when was the last time you ran into Steven Tyler at Target?
