Equal parts luck and skill. But when are they going to learn how to play defense? They are giving up something like 7 yards a play to the other team. If it weren't for Locker, this team would be 0-6.

I don't know. I hope this pushes the coaches to call this a "rebuilding year" and start getting the young guys some reps. At the rate they're playing I'll be happy to be bowl eligible. I think we'll steal one from a team that's favored, but we look very much like a 6-6/7-5 team right now.

I'm not the type to pretend I know more than the coaches, or to start screaming for coaches to be canned when things go south, but it's time to axe our DC. Our defense made Crompton, a quarterback who for all intents and purposes is one of the worst in the SEC, look like Tom Brady. Every game we've lost over the last two seasons has come when we scored double-digit points. A number of them when we've scored 30+, even 40+, points. There is no excuse for that. I didn't think it was time to get rid of him last season, but I think it's time now. I remember when Georgia was down in the 90s, and we have way too much talent now to look like that again. I'm done with him, and I understand that you don't fire a coach mid-season. However, if Willie Martinez is still Georgia's Defensive Coordinator after the end of this season, the University of Georgia Athletic Association will not see another dollar from me until that is no longer the case. No Hartman fund contributions, no direct-purchase tickets, no licensed anything, etc.

I'm just glad Texas ended up beating a ****** Colorado team. They really need to get a fire lit under their asses now - I'm afraid their going to be ranked 3 or 4 when the BCS poll finally comes out.

greg davis needs to be axed. he's way too much of a ***** to be involved in the horns' program. they looked like a high school team on sat. against the ******* buffailoes of all people. i'm tired of this namby-pampy panic attack bullshit. the horns have the capacity to go out and whoop ass from kickoff and they need to step up and do it.

My prediction that FSU will play at the level of their opponent this season seems to be holding true.

Give us a defense and we'd be undefeated this year.

If Texas wins out, they're in. Their schedule is too tough to fall below other teams even though Bama is ahead right now. Somebody will lose the SEC title game so that team is out. The Big East and ACC aren't strong enough top to bottom to warrant their champions in the title game. The Big 10 is still the Big 10 so their undefeated or one loss champion will fall below a Big 12 zero or one loss champion and the Pac 10 doesn't have a team that can make it all the way because of the losses to unranked teams. I'd take a Florida/Texas final choice if given even odds.

Watching the Georgia Tech game was nauseating.

It was surreal to see ESPN, the same network that constantly talks about how bad we are, the same network that puts "BOBBY BOWDEN HAS LOST CONTROL OF THE PROGRAM!" everytime a player gets caught with a beer; this same network runs all that fawning "Bobby Bowden should be allowed to coach as long as he wants to" crap.

Every shot they showed of Bowden, he was doing the usual, standing there, saying nothing, probably dreaming about Matlock. It was appalling. In the last two minutes, he finally spoke to someone, our defensive coaches. This after the defense hadn't forced a punt the entire game.

Bowden's disrespecting the fans. Any other coach would've been fired in 2004, 2005 at the latest. Christ, seven years ago, Darnell Dockett got ejected from a game, sat right beside Bowden the whole game and in the postgame interview Bowden revealed that he didn't even know a player had been ejected.

And then after the game we got the usual "We're four plays away from being 4-1" crap and he acknowledged that the 'Jackets ran almost the same play every down and later boasted about sticking with the same defensive scheme the whole game.

He's exhausted every shred of goodwill amongst the hardcore fanbase.

/end rant.
