and after my demise with trying to buy a suit online with gilt, i am never going to drop top dollar again with them.
not enough photos , not enough measurement/fit descriptives (especially for suits and jackets this is essential) and when you return basically you will all incur a substantial amount in STORE CREDIT. and usually you cannot find the next size up or down anyways.
yes, this is my rant towards them . i bring it up again. yes so what.

STP is the way to go for ISAIA on discount. I just wasted time this weekend looking at all of STP's offerings. They are actually decent (albeit not available in all sizes) and some basic looking fabrics (and the usual untouchables).

And, they use the flimsiest boxes in the history of man. Every order I have gotten has had a damaged box. One of my orders the shoes FELL OUT OF A GAPING HOLE in the box. I contacted GILT and they ignored my e-mail. They were $38 shoes, so I just ate it as the hassle of dealing with UPS would have been more of my valuable time than the shoes were worth.

their boxes are definitely flimsy. my suit came in their box , i am truthful here, a mangled box where i can see the suit and plastic inside without even opening the box.
luckily, the suit was untouched (plastic was not punctured)

The merchandise Gilt group sells is very nice. However, I agree that the customer service is really lacking. It took several days and numerous emails to address a problem that I had with the order. It's been a month and they are still working on it.
